Uni-Lok has been manufacturing precision “Twin Ferrule Compression tube fittings” and High performance valves for the instrumentation markets since 1984 and is certified for ISO-9001, ISO-14001, and Lloyds & CE standards. Uni-Lok fittings comply with NACE MR-0175/ISO 115156 for sour oilfield applications and NACE MR-0103 for petroleum refining operations.

Stainless Steel Seamless Tube

Applications

Tube is used for the conveyance of air, liquid and gas in instrumentation, hydraulic and general service applications.

Key Features 

  • Ease of installation – Tube provides many advantages over traditional piping systems, it is easy to bend with a tube bender which reduces the number of connections and potential leak points, it is less heavy and bulky than pip d orbital welded or used in conjunction with tube fittings
  • Surface finish – Seamless tube is required to be ‘free of scale’ and can be supplied pickled or bright annealed
  • Certification – certified and manufactured in accordance with ASTM A269 & ASTM A213
  • Traceability – In accordance with the above specifications each length of tube is fully traceable.
  • Special requirements – plugged ends, oxygen cleaning and individual wrapped tubes are available upon request.

 

Tube Selection 

Proper selection and handling of the tube is critical in ensuring reliability in tubing systems and when used with tube fittings the tube should be inspected for surface finish defects and scratches. It is recommended that a tube cutter be used to cut the tube and thereafter the ends be deburred.

The selection of tube should also be based on the operating pressure, flow, temperature and the compatibility of the process fluid in any application.

Material certification and specifications should also be inspected to identify the material and dimensions i.e. the OD size and the wall thickness, the hardness of the tube and the ASTM test results.

All tube comes standard with the following markings, the size of the OD& Wall Thickness, material grade, specification & heat code for traceability.

  • Hardness – For use with tube fittings the tube should not exceed RB90 and be made of a softer material than the tube fittings.
  • Wall Thickness – The wall thickness determines the recommended pressure the tube can withstand as listed in ASME B31.3. The tables identify the allowable working pressures. (see tables below)

Special Materials – Most Valve ranges are available in Stainless Steel 316 and Monel while ball valves are available in many different materials & alloys including Stainless Steel 316, Stainless Steel 317, Stainless Steel 904L, Monel, Hastelloy C, Monel 400, Alloy 20, Inconel 600, Alloy 625, Alloy 59 & NICKEL 200 . Ball valves are also available in the Duplex & Super Duplex materials including 2205 Duplex (F51), Super Duplex 2507 (F53) & Super Duplex (F55). High Pressure and Temperature Applications – A range of valves rated up to 10 000 Psi & Class 3000 are available for instrumentation and mechanical valve applications from ¼” up to 3″ with threaded ends, metal seated valves provide solutions for high temperature applications. 3-Way & Multi way ball valves up to 12″ are available as a standard.

Manifold and Block and Bleed Valves

Manifold Valves

Uni-Lok manufactures 2, 3 & 5-way manifolds in direct and remote mount configurations, in Stainless steel 316L and Monel (alloy 400) as a standard.

Features – Pressure rating up to 6000 Psig and temperature rating to 648 degrees Celsius. One piece bar stock or forged bodies for long life cycles. No-rotating stems for leak-tight shut-off and long life cycle, excellent surface finish. Stop pin prevents accidental back-out of valve in service.

Applications – Enables isolation, calibration and venting in a single valve. Uni-Lok 2 way manifolds are designed for static pressure & liquid level applications, 3 & 5 Way manifolds for differential pressure applications.

Block and Bleed Valves and Gauge Root Valves

Available in stainless steel for applications up to 6000 psig and 648 degrees Celsius.

Applications – For gauge isolation, calibration & venting are available in single and multi-valve units and multiple outlets to accommodate a variety of gauge positions. For safe and economical installation of pressure switches, gauges and differential transmitters.

Distribution Headers and Condensate Units

Distribution valves and air header manifolds for air, gas and liquid applications where multiple outlets are required from one manifold in order to supply several lines. The Distribution header will have one main isolation valve at the inlet, with valves on each outlet port and a valve on the drain if required.

A variety of configurations are available from 4-way to 12-way outlets, inlet & drain sizes and end connections to your specifications. Pressure ratings, material & valve type manufactured according to your application or design requirements.

Analyser Range

From gas cylinder regulators to ATEX certified (94/9/EC) heated regulators, our versatile range of instrumentation regulators have endured extensive cycle tests and include design features that make us the market leaders in this sector.

High Pressure Range

An extensive range of piston sensed regulators control pressures up to 690bar (10,000psi) via a range of precision machined sensors. The range covers 1/4” to 1” connections, with designs for both gas and hydraulic service and flow capacities from Cv 0.1 to 7.0.

Process Range

The DM and UV range of regulators are manufactured in deep drawn stainless steel to offer light weight valves covering sizes from 1/2” to 6” – controlling pressures from 2mbar to 200bar. The high grade range includes optional polished surface finish and various flanged connections to cover applications from pharmaceutical to offshore.

Custom Solutions

Not every system is the same and hence pressure regulators need to be sized and selected to provide an exact solution. The ability for a pressure regulator to provide stable control depends on pressures and flow rates within the system being able to pass through the seating area and cross holes within the valve. Other factors such as temperature, media, and external environment, provide variations that mean ‘off the shelf’ products may not be acceptable for many systems.
